How do I upgrade/downgrade my Managed Server?

Our Managed Servers also support Elastic Scaling, i.e. temporary upgrades of resources. If you want to temporarily give your server more CPU and memory, use this form. If you want to upgrade permanently, follow the instructions in this guide.

Sometimes you need to adjust the resources on your Managed Server. Perhaps you’ve outgrown the current setup and need more power, or you’ve scaled down your business and want something less. Upgrading/downgrading your server this way is no problem, and this guide will walk you through the process.

If you have an unpaid invoice for your service it must be paid before you can order upgrades/downgrades to your server’s resources.

To upgrade/downgrade your Managed Server, you need to log on to the Client area. Once there, you can order upgrades/downgrades by following these instructions:

  1. Click Managed Server under Services in the menu to the left.
  2. Then click View to the right of the Managed Server you want to upgrade/downgrade.
  3. Finally, click the tab Management actions and Upgrade options.
  4. Now, make selections what resources you wish to modify, and once you’re done – click Click to continue.

Once your order reaches us, a technician will get in touch with you and choose an appropriate time for reboot of the server to incorporate the new server resources.
