What MX records shall I use to direct email traffic towards your servers?

Please note that the domain that you will point towards our MX records must be added to a web hosting account on our servers.

Since we utilise a server cluster acting as spam protection (ODERLAND Mailcontrol), all incoming email messages passes through these on their way to the web hosting servers. To use this spam filter and make the messages reach your account, you need to use these MX records for your domain:

  • mx1.oderland.com
  • mx2.oderland.com
  • mx3.oderland.com
  • mx4.oderland.com

You can set the same priority for all four records (for example 0), so the servers will share the email management equally.

If your domain uses our DNS servers, you can follow the instructions here about how you add and/or edit MX records. If your domain uses DNS servers belonging to another provider, you need to make the edits there instead.

If you have a Managed Server with us, you can add the Mailcontrol service (it’s not included by default). For more information, please contact us on support@oderland.se.
