Where can I find an EPP code for my domain?

If you want to transfer a domain from us (e.g. to another web hosting company), you need to use an EPP code (also known as AUTH-ID, auth code, authorisation code etc). To get such a code for a domain registered with us, follow the instructions in this guide.

Some registrars set an expiry date on their EPP codes. We, however, don’t do that. Instead, most domains’ EPP codes are valid from when they are collected until they’re used. There are exceptions, such as .fi and .be, that have specific expiry dates (30 and seven days, respectively).

  1. Begin by logging on to the Client area.
  2. Then click Domains under Services in the menu to the left.
  3. You now reach the management page for domains registered with us. Click on All Domains at the top to see all your domain names.
  4. Now, click View to the right of the domain for which you wish to get the EPP code.

  5. Then, click Domain Transfer in the top menu.
  6. Finally, click the Show EPP Code button.

Why is the option Get EPP code missing for my domain?

The majority of all TLDs use EPP codes for domain transfers between registrars, but there are exceptions. If the menu item for Get EPP code is missing for your domain, the reason might be that domain transfer is done is done by other means. Please contact our support – or the support of the registrar to which you wish to transfer domain – to proceed with the transfer.

If you have a .BE domain, please refer to dnsbelgium.be and click the tab Request Transfer Code to get an EPP code. It will be sent via email to the domain holder.
