How to terminate Postal

If you don’t want to use Postal anymore, start by submitting a cancellation to our Client Area. Once the service has expired and you no longer want to use it, follow the steps below to remove the settings you made when you set up the service.

Disconnecting your website

Disconnect the API or SMTP connection to your website or application. Consider replacing with another option so that your website or application can still send messages.

Deleting DNS records

When you set up the service, you created three DNS records that you now need to delete.

  1. A TXT pointer with a signing key. You will recognise it by it containing postal-verification.
  2. A CNAME record with the name psrp and the data rp.postal.oderland.com.
  3. Edit your SPF record and remove include:_spf.postal.oderland.com from it.
