How do I find SMTP details for outgoing emails in Postal?

To send emails via Postal, you need to enter the correct details of the outgoing SMTP server (unless you connect to Postal via the API). This guide describes how to find the SMTP details in the Postal web interface.

  1. Begin by logging on to Postal’s control panel.
  2. Then click on the mail server for which you want to find the SMTP details.
  3. Click Help in the menu.
  4. Now click Sending E-Mail in the newly appeared menu.
  5. Under the heading Sending using SMTP you will find the information you need to enter to send emails via SMTP.

Take note that we have several Postal servers, so make sure you check the SMTP Server Address so you connect to the correct server.

If you have created multiple credentials in Postal, enter the password for the set of credentials you want to use. In step 5 above, you will see the password from the first set of credentials.
