There may be several reasons why you want to shut down your server in Oderland Cloud, for example if you do not intend to use it for a while. To shut down a server, follow the instructions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by\u00a0logging on to the Oderland Cloud control panel<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. When you\u2019ve logged in, go to\u00a0Compute<\/code>\u00a0(the cube-like icon) ->\u00a0Virtual machines<\/code>\u00a0in the menu to the left.\"\"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click on the row for the server you want to turn off and then click the\u00a0Shut down<\/code>\u00a0button.

  4. A box will now pop up where you need to confirm the shutdown by clicking the Shut down<\/code> button.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you select Shelve virtual machine<\/code> here, you will not be charged for allocated CPU cores or RAM. Use this option if you plan to leave the server shut down for an extended period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Normally, a shutdown takes a few seconds, but sometimes it can take longer than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
