If you want the mail for an email address to be forwarded to another email address, you can set this up via the Forwarders<\/code> feature in cPanel or in the webmail. (This feature is sometimes called alias, mail alias or similar).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you plan to forward emails to a Google email address (e.g. to an @gmail.com address), you should read this article<\/a> first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Via cPanel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by logging on to cPanel<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click Forwarders<\/code> under the Email<\/code> section.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You will now have the option to add forwarders, either individually or for entire domains, we will go through both below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Regular forwarder<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Click Add Forwarder<\/code>.
      \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. On this page you need to fill in the email address you want to forward from and to which email address everything should be forwarded. In the Address to forward<\/code> field, only type the part of the address before @, then select the domain at the bottom. In the Forward to email address<\/code> field, type the email address you want to forward the email to.
      \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      You can set up the same forwarder to forward the email to multiple email addresses, either by adding the forwarders one by one, or by entering multiple email addresses in the Forward to email address<\/code> field separated by commas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Under Advanced Options<\/code> you will find some more settings, e.g. you can forward the mail to your default account or pipe it to an application, or simply delete the mail without returning any error message. You don’t need to touch these options unless you know that one of these functions is what you want to use.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Once you are happy with the settings you have chosen, you can create the forwarding via the Add Forwarder<\/code> button at the bottom of the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Domain forwarder<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Domain forwarders forward incoming email to the corresponding email address on the domain you have chosen as a target, so for example email to example.se is forwarded to the corresponding address on example2.se.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Note that domain forwarders only forward emails sent to addresses that are not already set up as email accounts and\/or autoresponders.

        So if the domain example.se is set up to forward to example2.se, mail to hej@exempel.se will only be forwarded to hej@exempel2.se if hej@exempel.se is not already set up as an email account and\/or autoresponder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Click Add Domain Forwarder<\/code>.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Select the domain from the drop-down menu (1), enter the domain to which the mail is to be forwarded in the corresponding field (2). Then press the Add Domain Forwarder<\/code> button (3).\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Via the webmail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          1. Start by logging in to the webmail by going to yourdomain.se\/webmail. Replace yourdomain.se with the domain name that comes after @ in your email address.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            You cannot set up forwarders via the App Suite, you must use the webmail included as part of cPanel. Surf to yourdomain.se\/webmail<\/strong> to get to the right place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Click your email address near the top right and select Forwarders<\/code> in the menu.

              If you are immediately logged in to Roundcube, so the menu in the picture above is not visible, first click on the Webmail Home<\/code> button on the far left. After that you can access the menu as shown in the picture above.
