In order to send mail via Postal, you need two things: a mail server in the service and a domain linked to the service. You can create multiple mail servers and add multiple domains to each mail server if you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To create a new mail server in Postal, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by\u00a0logging on to Postal\u2019s control panel<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. If you do not have any mail servers already set up, click on the Build your first mail server<\/code> button.\"\"<\/a>

    If you have mail servers already set up, click the Build a new mail server<\/code> button instead.    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You are now asked to fill in the details of the mail server.\"\"<\/a>
    Fill in the information as follows:

    Name:<\/strong> Enter a name for the mail server here, this is used to distinguish different mail servers within the service.

    Short name:<\/strong> This is created automatically if you do not enter anything in the field. Short name is used as a username in SMTP clients for mailing, so you can put anything here if you want (or let Postal autogenerate it for you).

    Mode:<\/strong> Leave this on ‘Live’.

    IP pool:<\/strong> Leave this on “Shared” if you have not chosen for your Postal Service to have a dedicated IP number.

    Then click the Build server<\/code> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. You will now be notified that your new mail server has been created.
