Sometimes we need to get in touch with you as a customer in a faster way than email offers, and in those cases we send an SMS text message as a complement to the email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, we send these messages via SMS if you have an unpaid invoice where a second or third reminder is sent – all in the hopes that you won’t have your service shut down or your domain name expire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t want this type of SMS from us, you can switch it off. We describe how later in this guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Examples of SMS messages sent by us<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you receive an SMS from us, it may look like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We never include links in our SMS messages, therefore you need to go to our website and log in to the Client Area to act on the information in the SMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you receive an SMS that appears to be from us but contains a link, it is likely that the message is a scam from a malicious sender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Managing recipient numbers for SMS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can adjust the phone number to which SMS messages from us are sent, as well as completely switch off SMS reminders if you don’t want them. You can do this via the Client area of our website by following these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by logging on to the Client area<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click My Account<\/code> under Account<\/code> in the menu to the left.

  3. Scroll down until you find Mobile number for SMS<\/code>.

    Here you can enter the phone number to which you want to receive SMS messages from us.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you don’t want to receive any SMS from us at all, delete any number that is already there and leave the field blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
