This guide applies to you who have a Managed Server or an Agency account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To give your clients the feeling of being your<\/em> clients, it’s a good idea to apply some branding (customize the looks) of the cPanel accounts they’re granted access to. This guide details how you change the looks of your cPanel account using the branding feature in WHM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guide details how you customize the theme Jupiter. If you use the theme paper_lantern, you cannot follow these instructions. Also, please note that the theme paper_lantern will soon be removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessing the branding interface<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before you can customize the branding on your clients’ cPanel accounts, you need to access the settings. To do that, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by logging on to WHM<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Use the search function in the menu to the left to find customization<\/code> and click it.
    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You will now reach the interface where you can edit the branding for the theme that your clients see via their cPanel accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The theme paper_lantern will soon be removed, so use the theme Jupiter instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Choose the theme you want to customize.
      \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Logos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To change the logo that is shown in the top left in cPanel, do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Begin by accessing the branding settings according to the instructions above<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Click the tab Logos<\/code>.
        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. You will now get to upload logos, one for light background colors and one for dark ones (you can set that color according to the instructions below<\/a>). You may also add a description to the logos.
        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        The following recommendations and restrictions apply to the logo files:
        File type:<\/strong> Must be .svg files.
        Size:<\/strong> Recommended size for the logos is 200 px in width and 100 px in height.
        Remember to define the sizes inside the .svg files, otherwise they might display wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Click Update Logos<\/code> once you’re done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Colors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          To change the color of the leftmost field in cPanel, do this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Begin by accessing the branding settings according to the instructions above<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click the tab Colors<\/code>.

          3. Now you may choose the color for the left panel in cPanel. If you click the field Main Menu Background Color<\/strong> you may either enter a hexadecimal code for the color of your choice, or set a color using the color picker that pops up.

          4. Click Update Colors<\/code> once you’re done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Favicon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            You can set the favicon (the icon shown on the tab in a web browser) if you don’t want the default one. To set your own favicon, follow these instructions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Begin by accessing the branding settings according to the instructions above<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Click the tab Favicon<\/code>.

            3. You may now upload the new favicon.

              File type:<\/strong> Must be a .ico file.
              Size:<\/strong> The file must be 32×32 pixels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. Click Update Favicon<\/code> when you’ve selected the file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Links<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                To direct your customers to the right contact paths and\/or support home pages, you can adjust the links presented for this inside cPanel. Here we describe how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                2. Click the tab Links<\/code>.

                3. Edit the links here to match the data you want a cPanel user to end up with.

                4. Click Update Links<\/code> when you’re done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  Contact information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                  You can also add your contact details directly to the theme used by cPanel accounts on your service, so your customers can easily get in touch with you. Follow these instructions to customize this information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Begin by accessing the branding settings according to the instructions above<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  2. Click the tab Public Contact<\/code>.

                  3. Please enter your company name (or equivalent) and a link to your website. Keep in mind that this information will be publicly available on all domains used on cPanel accounts associated with your service.

                  4. Click Save<\/code> once you’re done editing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    Changing theme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                    If you are not already using the Jupiter theme on your customers’ cPanel accounts, you will need to change the package(s) used to apply Jupiter. We generally describe how to edit a package in this guide<\/a> (section “Editing an existing package”). The only thing you need to change is the particular theme used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
