Elastic Scaling is our feature where you can upgrade system resources for your web hosting account. The feature is available on all our web hosting accounts and you control it via our Client Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need additional disk space for your web hosting account, this isn’t managed by Elastic Scaling. Instead, you need to upgrade your account. The Large versions of our web hosting accounts are suitable if you’re happy with your account’s current performance. You can read more about upgrading your web hosting account here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Activate Elastic Scaling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To activate Elastic Scaling, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by logging on to the Client Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click Shared Hosting<\/code> under Services<\/code> in the menu to the left.

  3. Click the icon under Resources<\/code> for the web hosting account for which you want to enable Elastic Scaling.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. <\/a>Select the additional system resources you want. You can set the amount of number of CPU cores and Memory (RAM) (1). When you increase either of them, you will gain access to additional PHP processes on your account (2).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Extra PHP processes when you upgrade CPU and memory:<\/strong>
    CPU cores: 16 extra processes per core added.
    Memory: 8 extra processes per GB added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Check the additional costs (3) for your upgrade (you pay per day based on how much additional resources you’ve selected, and you’re invoiced once per month).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Additional costs for Elastic Scaling:<\/strong>
      CPU cores: +5 SEK\/day per extra core added (excl VAT).
      Memory: +3 SEK\/day per extra GB added (excl VAT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Click the Activate Elastic Scaling button<\/code> (4) to upgrade your account.

        Change options for Elastic Scaling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        If you want to add even more additional system resources, or want to lower a previous increase, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Begin by logging on to the Client Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click Shared Hosting<\/code> under Services<\/code> in the menu to the left.

        3. Click the icon under Resources<\/code> for the web hosting account for which you want to change Elastic Scaling settings.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Adjust the sliders for CPU and Memory (1) to change the amount of available CPU cores and RAM on your web hosting account. Click Update Elastic Scaling<\/code> (2) to save the changes.

          Cancel Elastic Scaling and return to default system resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          If you no longer need additional system resources via Elastic Scaling, you can cancel them by following these instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Begin by logging on to the Client Area<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click Shared Hosting<\/code> under Services<\/code> in the menu to the left.
