In the dropdown menu to the right, select the <code>domain<\/code> you want to create the subdomain on. In this example, we&#8217;ve set <code>dyndns<\/code> as the subdomain and selected <code>exempel.se<\/code> as the domain. The complete dynamic DNS record will therefore be <code>dyndns.exempel.se<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optional:<\/strong> If you want to, you can click <code>Manually Enter An IP Address<\/code> and enter an IP address which the dynamic DNS record should point at from the beginning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optional:<\/strong> Enter a description for the DNS record (<em>e.g.<\/em> an identifier telling where it points, such as &#8220;Office&#8221;).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally, click the <code>Create<\/code> button once you&#8217;re done.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will now be redirected back to the landing page for the dynamic DNS feature. The DNS record you just created will be visible in the table a bit down on the page.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cpanel_dyndns_records.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"888\" height=\"147\" class=\"wp-image-15277\" style=\"width: 888px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/cpanel_dyndns_records.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br>The URL you see in the column <code>URL<\/code> can now be used to update the dynamic DNS record. Access it somehow (via a web browser, cURL, wget, or any other way you fancy) from a device located on the network using the public IP address you want it to point at to update the record.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">If the domain in the URL field does not point to one of our servers, you can replace it with the server name on which your web hosting account is located. If you don&#8217;t know the server name, you can find out according to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/en\/artikel\/which-server-is-my-web-hosting-account-located-on\/\" data-type=\"ht_kb\" data-id=\"4309\" target=\"_blank\">these instructions<\/a>.
