From there, you can go on with the restoration of content for a chosen account.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to restore domains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\"><strong>Please note that restoration via Domains only will recover files for the domain.<\/strong> If you need to recover databases associated to the site, you need to follow the instructions <a href=\"#how-to-restore-databases\">below<\/a>. Recovery of a domain will not restore the DNS zone for the domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To restore all files related to a certain domain, begin by accessing WHM and Acronis <a href=\"#accessing-acronis-via-whm\">according to the instructions above<\/a>. Then click the date you wish to restore from, select <code>Domains<\/code>, and finally click the username where the files you want to restore were\/are located. Then click the date you wish to restore from, select <code>Mail forwarders<\/code>, and finally click the username where the email forwarder(s) you want to restore were\/are located. Then follow our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/en\/artikel\/how-do-i-restore-backups-via-acronis-backup\/#how-to-restore-forwarders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">instructions for email forwarder restoration for web hosting accounts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to restore cPanel accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To restore entire cPanel accounts, begin by accessing WHM and Acronis <a href=\"#accessing-acronis-via-whm\">according to the instructions above<\/a>. Then click the date you wish to restore from and select <code>Accounts<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will now see a list of the cPanel accounts that existed under your Agency service or Managed Server when the backup was taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/whm_acronis_restore_accounts-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"532\" height=\"308\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/whm_acronis_restore_accounts-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14179\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of the list of accounts, you\u2019ll see a checkbox. Selecting this selects all accounts under your service for restoration. You also have individual checkboxes for each account if you want to restore with more precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-danger\">Keep in mind to only use the checkbox above the list of you really want to restore <strong>all<\/strong> cPanel accounts on your service. We do not recommend this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you have selected all accounts you wish to restore, click the <code>Recover<\/code> button above the list (1). If you want to, you can also download a .zip file containing the selected accounts&#8217; content via the <code>Download<\/code> button (2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you click the <code>Recover<\/code> button, a popup box is shown prompting you to make a few selections prior to the restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/whm_acronis_recover_account_options.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"394\" height=\"378\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oderland.se\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/whm_acronis_recover_account_options.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14183\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The various options imply the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Overwrite the existing account:<\/strong> If this is selected, all files on the cPanel account will be replaced with the ones from the backup. This means that if new files were created on the account after the backup was saved, these will be removed upon recovery.<\/li><li><strong>Change the user name:<\/strong> If you recover a cPanel account from backup, you can set a new user name for it here. We do not recommend that you use this feature.<\/li><li><strong>Assign a dedicated IP address:<\/strong> This feature is not available.<\/li><li><strong>Skip recovery of databases:<\/strong> Tick this checkbox if you do not want to restore databases that existed on the account when the backup was saved.<\/li><li><strong>Skip recovery of home directory:<\/strong> Tick this checkbox if you do not want to restore folders and files that existed on the account when the backup was saved.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;re done with your selections, click <code>Start recovery<\/code> to begin the restoration process. As soon as it&#8217;s done, you will be notified on-screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">Keep in mind that the recovery process can take a long time if a lot of data is to be restored, <em>e.g.<\/em> if you restore large accounts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Via WHM for your Agency&#8211; or Managed Server service, you can reach our backup tool Acronis.
