You can create email accounts with us in two different ways: via the Client Area and via cPanel. This guide describes both methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Via the Client Area<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create a new email account via the Client Area, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Begin by logging on to the Client Area<\/a> for the client account where the web hosting account is located that you want to create the email account on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to Email & App Suite<\/code> under Services<\/code> in the menu on the left.

  3. Click on the Create Account<\/code> button at the top of the page.
    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select the Domain<\/code> for the account (i.e.<\/em> what should appear after the @ in the address), enter what should appear before the @ in the address (in the E-mail<\/code> field), and enter a Password<\/code> for your new account. Remember to choose a strong password. Then click on the Create Account<\/code> button.

    If the domain name you want to create an email account on does not appear in the list, you first need to add the domain as an Add-on domain<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Avoid the following characters in your password, as they’re known to cause problems with different email clients (including our webmail):
    \u00c5 \u00c4 \u00d6 \u00e5 \u00e4 \u00f6 \u00a4 \u00bd \u00a7 \u00a3 \u20ac \u00a8 ; & @<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. You can now add the email account to your email client.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The newly created email account is set to a maximum allowed storage space (quota) of 1GB. If you want to change the quota, you can do so via cPanel following the instructions here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Via cPanel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To create a new email account via cPanel, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Begin by logging on to cPanel<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Click the icon Email Accounts<\/code> under the category Email<\/code>.

      3. On the following page, click the Create<\/code> button.
        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Now, select the domain you want to see after<\/em> the @ in the email address.
        \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        If you cannot find the domain you’re looking for in the dropdown menu, you have to add the domain to the account<\/a> first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. The domain name will now be filled in automatically, and you only have to enter what you want before<\/em> the @ in the email address in the Username<\/code> field.
          \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. You have to set a password for the email account, otherwise it cannot be created and\/or used. You can either create a password yourself or let cPanel generate one automatically. We recommend that you set a strong password and save it using a password manager.

          1. Finally, set a storage space limit for the account. If you select unlimited, the email account will have access to all free space on the web hosting account. We recommend that you set a limit.

          2. When you’re done with your settings, click Create<\/code> at the bottom of the page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
