How do I manage access keys for Object Storage in Oderland Cloud?

To access the data stored in buckets in Object Storage in Oderland Cloud, you need access keys and associated secret keys. This guide describes how to create and remove them.

Add keys

When you add a new Object Storage user, an access key and a secret key are automatically created for that user.

If you want to add a new set of keys (an access key and a secret key) for an Object Storage user, follow these steps:

You can have a maximum of two active access keys at a time per Object Storage user.

  1. Begin by logging on to the Client Area.
  2. Click Cloud under Services in the menu to the left.
  3. Then click Object Storage in the menu towards the top.
  4. Scroll down to the Access key section and click on the red + Add Access Key button.
  5. In the box that pops up, confirm that you want to add a new access key by clicking the Confirm button.
  6. A new access key with associated secret key is now created for your Object Storage user.

Remove keys

To remove an access key with its associated secret key, follow these instructions:

  1. Begin by logging on to the Client Area.
  2. Click Cloud under Services in the menu to the left.
  3. Then click Object Storage in the menu towards the top.
  4. Scroll down until you see the key list and click Remove Key next to the key in question.
  5. In the box that pops up, tick that you confirm the removal and click the Confirm button.
  6. The key will now be deleted.
