How do I create an email account?

To create a new email account, follow these steps:

  1. Begin by logging on to cPanel.
  2. Click the icon Email Accounts under the category Email.
  3. On the following page, click the Create button.
  4. Now, select the domain you want to see after the @ in the email address.

If you cannot find the domain you’re looking for in the dropdown menu, you have to add the domain to the account first.

  1. The domain name will now be filled in automatically, and you only have to enter what you want before the @ in the email address in the Username field.
  2. You have to set a password for the email account, otherwise it cannot be created and/or used. You can either create a password yourself or let cPanel generate one automatically. We recommend that you set a strong password and save it using a password manager.

Avoid the following characters in your password, as they’re known to cause problems with different email clients (including our webmail):
Å Ä Ö å ä ö ¤ ½ § £ € ¨ ; & @

  1. Finally, set a storage space limit for the account. If you select unlimited, the email account will have access to all free space on the web hosting account. We recommend that you set a limit.
  2. When you’re done with your settings, click Create at the bottom of the page.
  3. Your email account is now created, and you can use it in your email client or via the webmail.
