How do I change whois information for my domains?

If the planned changes include changing personal or corporate identity number, a transfer of ownership is required.

For most TLDs (top level domains), you’re able to edit the whois information yourself. There are some exceptions however, so please first try the steps described below and if you are unsuccessful: feel free to email us for assistance.

  1. Start by logging on to our Client area.
  2. Then click Domains under Services in the menu to the left.
  3. You now reach the management page for domains registered with us. Click on All Domains at the top to see all your domain names.
  4. You will now see a list of your domains. Click View to the right of the one where you want to update the whois information.
  5. Now, click Contact information in the top menu.
  6. On the page where you end up, you’ll be able to edit the whois information. Once you’re done, click Save changes by the end of the page.

If you’re changing holder name, organisation, and/or email address in the whois information of an ICANN domain (e.g. .com, .net, .org etc), the modification will not be visible immediatelly. Instead, confirmation via clicking a link in an email sent to the former and current email addresses is required first. Once this is done, you’ll be able to see the new whois information via the Client area.
