Setting up extra contacts on a client account is useful for several reasons, and have multiple purposes:
- Billing contact – if you want our invoices to be sent to an additional recipient than the main contact, or to another postal address (e.g. an invoice scanning facility).
- Sub-account – a contact which may log on to and manage your client account.
Add a new contact
To add a new contact to your client account, follow these instructions:
- Log on to the client area.
- In the menu to the left, click
My Account
underAccount
. - Click the tab
Contacts/Sub-accounts
. - Under
Choose contact
, selectAdd new contact
and clickGo
. - Fill out the form, all fields are mandatory except Company name and Address 2.
- Then click the
Save changes
button at the bottom.
Set up a billing contact
To set up the new contact you created according to the instructions above as a billing contact, you need to give the contact permissions as follows:
- On the page for
Contacts/Sub-accounts
, make sure to select the contact you just created in the dropdown menu next toChoose contact
then clickGo
. - A bit down you’ll find
Email preferences
. Make sure the checkboxInvoice emails - invoices & billing reminders
is selected. - Then click the
Save changes
button.
- Click the tab
My details
on the top of the page. - In the dropdown menu next to
Default billing contact
, select the newly created contact. - If you do not want payment confirmation emails to be sent to the billing contact (nor to other contacts), tick the checkbox for this.
- The click
Save changes
on the bottom.
Set up a sub-account
If you instead wish that the newly created contact should be a sub-account with access to your client area, services etc, you need to give the contact the proper permissions for this.
- On the page for
Contacts/Sub-accounts
, make sure to select the contact you just created in the dropdown menu next toChoose contact
then clickGo
. - To activate the contact as a sub-account, click the checkbox next to
Tick to configure as a sub-account with client area access
. - Select the permissions the sub-account shall have under
Permissions
. Also enter a password twice for the sub-account.
